Ottoboni Group won the assignment to produce animated graphics for the TV4 broadcast of the Grammisgalan and to develop a user-friendly voting function for the website grammis.se.
Our animators and motion graphic designers brought the TV4 Grammisgalan’s graphic elements to life. We constructed a 3D rotating logo-type for breakbumpers that was shown when the program’s sponsors were shown before and after the commercial breaks. The Grammis statuette was built in 3D and digital billboards were designed, which were used to present categories, nominations and artists.
We also developed a technically-complex voting function for grammis.se, through which the Swedish public voted for their favorite artists in 12 different categories. The voting function featured a special capacity to handle high-load bottlenecks in short timeframes.
250,000 votes were registered in the database from 125,000 unique visitors. We saw the Grammisgalan as a relatively Swedish event, but show that visitors from 130 different countries placed their votes, with 6,000 votes from the U.S. alone.
In the fall we took a major stride in the Swedish music industry to spread our digital imprint

The Grammisalan is arranged by IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry). They organize the gala and collaborate with the production company Baluba, which has been commissioned to produce the gala for TV4.
